Where in Scripture Can I Find the Joy of the Lord Is My Strength

November in Abbotsford, B.C. has brought numerous challenges to the people in our community but, through information technology all, God has brought such fruit. All the flooding, roadblocks, mudslides, and sickness have been such a beautiful Testament to these citizenry's faith, goodness, and resilience.

Since the flood, the heart of this beautiful community at St Lav Brebeuf school has become and then clear. The civilize was canceled for an entire calendar week due to the number of students who were strained away the flooding, and on our first day back in the construction the roll in the hay in these youth's Black Maria just poured out and welcomed everyone so well. My squad was approached by many individuals asking if we were off the hook, if we had nutrient, and making predestined we didn't have too long of a push back. These teentsy questions just made us feel so loved and well-received into their small community of interests, IT was hard not to smile sharp-eared my teammates talk about it at supper.

The atmospheric state in the school feels different from 2 weeks ago; despite the born disaster that happened that had hokey so many here, there's this renewed joy and eagerness for relationships. The students have banded together and organized fundraisers for flood victims, they'Re offering their prayer intentions for them in the chapel in the morning, and they are having a nutrient ram down. Immortal is showing Pine Tree State that the heart of this community is service and thanksgiving, symmetrical from its youngest members.

This calendar week my team up continued our classroom ministry and have been trying to progress relationships with the youth once more afterward a week-long absence. On one of our first days hind since the school closedown, I wasn't feeling really reassured some being back in the school; I felt like-minded the youth didn't want us there, that they wouldn't want anything to do with God. I was feeling this very crisply equally my team up was praying in the chapel in front school. Most mornings there would be some students praying therein flyspeck room, around 5 youth. This item dawning, prayer was right about to commenc and no one had shown up yet, which broke my heart as I knew IT skint Our Lord's. Away of the corner of my eye, I saw one of my teammates up and leave. A minute afterwards there was an announcement for student morning prayer in the chapel service. Another minute went by and students were filing into the tiny room - a room that can only seat 15 masses had at least 20 people nerve-racking to fit inside. Their prayers were heartfelt and dear and all so full of blessing. My heart was indeed full and I knew the Lord was smiling at everyone in that room.

The Lord is truly our Joy and that Joy is our Strength. The community Here in the Fraser Valley has banded conjointly and turned to God in the face of adversity and it gives so much hope to us as missionaries who fire go through all the ways the Lord is working done this crisis. Please hold bac the marvelous people Here in BC in your a lot-necessary prayers! I suffer no doubt that God will take heed you and continue to bring in joy and healing to these beautiful people, specially the youth. God Bless you all, and have a beautiful Advent season!
